Former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has openly voiced his disappointment with the Nigerian national team, delivering a scathing critique of its recent performances.
The ex-international, who remains one of Nigeria’s most prolific forwards, attributed the team’s inability to secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to glaring tactical shortcomings and an evident lack of cohesion among the players.
According to Aiyegbeni, the Super Eagles have struggled to play as a united unit, often appearing disjointed on the pitch and failing to execute a clear game plan.
