Tinubu Condoles with FIRS, UBA over Afriland Fire TragedyPresident Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the United Bank for Africa (UBA), and families of victims following Tuesdayโs fire outbreak at the Afriland Building on Broad Street, Lagos Island.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the President described the incident as a tragic loss and expressed sympathy to those who lost loved ones or suffered injuries.He also extended his condolences to the management and staff of FIRS and UBA, whose offices were affected by the inferno.
Tinubu called on authorities to strengthen safety measures in high-rise buildings across the country to avert similar occurrences, while praying for the repose of the departed and quick recovery for the injured.
