‎WARRI, DELTA STATE – The Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom is gearing up for a grand, week-long celebration. From Monday, September 22, to Friday, September 26, 2025, the community will honor His Royal Majesty, Monbene III, Pere Ama-Okosu, on his 10th coronation anniversary.



‎According to a statement from the revered monarch, the event is a testament to “our people, our culture, and the unity of Ogbe-Ijoh.” The festivities are designed to be a vibrant mix of tradition, entertainment, and community engagement for all ages.

‎A Look at the Week’s Events

‎The celebration kicks off on Monday, September 22, with the conferment of chieftaincy titles, followed by village visits and live music from the renowned Barrister Smooth.


‎On Tuesday, September 23, a mesmerizing masquerade display will captivate spectators, with musical accompaniment by Chief Kingsley Takembo.


‎Wednesday, September 24, will feature a blend of culture and sport, including traditional wrestling competitions and a novelty football match. The day will also include awards for community achievers, with music by Isaba Abraham and Dr. Ebizimor Nicholas.


‎Thursday, September 25, focuses on the next generation with a quiz and written competition on Ogbe-Ijoh history. Live music will be provided by King Allen and Hero.


‎The week culminates on Friday, September 26, with a spectacular cultural display by the Bayelsa Cultural Group. The grand finale will feature live performances from Nigerian music star Harrysong and Dr. Alfred Izon-Ebi (JKing), promising a vibrant mix of dance, music, and community spirit.
