Unidentified gunmen have kidnapped the wife and daughter of Alhaji Muhammad Swasun, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State
According to a police spokesperson, the gunmen stormed the chairman’s residence in Patigi and took his wife, Hajia Zainab Swasun, and daughter, Fatima Swasun, at gunpoint. They then fled the scene, escaping into a nearby bush. Law enforcement has launched a full-scale search and rescue operation, with officers from the Patigi Police Division and a special anti-kidnapping squad combing the area.
This incident marks a worrying trend of targeted abductions in the region.
