Sujimoto CEO, Sijibomi Ogundele, responded after being declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
After the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) declared him wanted for alleged money laundering and diversion of funds, Sijibomi Ogundele, the CEO of Sujimoto Construction Limited, responded in a video, stating that he would report to the EFCC to clear his name.
He denied being a thief or a fugitive and insisted he was not guilty of any crime. According to Ogundele, the controversy stems from a contract with the Enugu State Government that ended up in court. He claimed that the project was delayed and exacerbated by inflation, and the EFCC’s wanted notice has “destroyed” the company he built.

This is not the first time Ogundele has had a brush with the law; he was previously detained and released on bail in October 2024 over a separate fraud allegation.
