Plateau State – Troops of Operation Safe Haven have successfully recovered a hidden cache of arms and ammunition belonging to bandits in Pandam, Quan Pan Local Government Area. The discovery was made based on credible intelligence, revealing weapons concealed in a dug hole within a sack.
According to Major Samson Zhakom, spokesperson for Operation Safe Haven, the bandits hid their weapons due to sustained pressure from security forces.
The recovered items include one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 magazine, and 30 rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition.
The recovered weapons are currently in the custody of Operation Safe Haven.
