The mother-daughter duo, from Amechi Idodo in Nkanu East L.G.A of Enugu State, had gone viral with multiple interviews and videos, with Ebere even stating that Ozokwo should be held responsible if anything happened to her mother.

They claimed Ozokwo took the only land their late father left them, exploiting the fact that Ngozi had two daughters and no son. Ebere alleged that her father’s kinsman, whom her mother had entrusted with looking after the land, secretly sold it to Patience Ozokwo.
Patience Ozokwo’s Side of the Story
Patience Ozokwo has now presented her version of events, bringing forward the middleman who brokered the land sale. The man, identifying himself as a kinsman of the late husband, stated that after the husband’s death, the widow (Ngozi Okonkwo Ike) approached him, desperately seeking to sell the land. Her aim was to fund medical treatment for her leg and cover her late husband’s burial expenses.
According to the middleman, when he struggled to find a buyer, he contacted Patience Ozokwo, who was abroad at the time, to inquire about her interest in purchasing land. He asserted that the widow willingly sold the land to Ozokwo, with him acting as the intermediary in the transaction.
