On Saturday, February 8, 2025, Assistant Superintendent of Police Shafi’u Bawa was found dead in his home in Rigasa, Kontagora Local Government Area, Niger State.
His father, Usman Bawa, discovered his body hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom and reported it to the police.
After confirming his death at the general hospital, police released his remains to his family for burial according to Islamic tradition.
