
The Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun Corps, has rescued a kidnapped victim and arrested four members of the same family over their alleged involvement in the abduction.
The suspects, identified as a father and his three sons, were apprehended in Oba-Ile, Akoko area of Ondo State following an intelligence-led operation by Amotekun operatives.
According to the security agency, the victim was rescued safely, while more than 75 percent of the ransom reportedly paid by the victim’s family was recovered during the operation.
Amotekun said preliminary investigations linked the suspects to the kidnapping, adding that efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining ransom and identify any other accomplices connected to the crime.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to tackling kidnapping and other criminal activities across Ondo State, assuring residents that it will continue working to ensure the safety of lives and property.
The arrested suspects are expected to be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
