At least five people sustained varying degrees of injuries in a multiple-vehicle crash along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on Monday.
The accident, which involved several vehicles, reportedly occurred during peak traffic hours, causing a temporary disruption to the free flow of traffic on the busy highway.
According to eyewitnesses, excessive speeding and brake failure were major factors that led to the collision. One of the vehicles is said to have lost control after its brakes failed, triggering a chain reaction that involved other road users.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and attended to the injured victims before transporting them to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. No fatalities were recorded in the incident.
