Burkina Faso will have to “forget” democracy, the country’s military leader, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, announced, signaling an extension of military rule.
Speaking on Thursday, Traoré declared that democratic governance is not feasible in the current context and that the nation will remain under military administration for an additional five years.
