The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a man named Kamoru Ojo for the suspected murder of his 27-year-old daughter. Ojo allegedly buried her secretly in a shallow grave within their property located in the Informed area of Ojo, Lagos State.
According to police sources who spoke with security analyst Zagazola Makama, the alleged crime took place on March 26, 2025. However, the Okokomaiko Police Division received a distress call regarding the incident on April 3, 2025, around 8:00 a.m.
The victim, identified as Shakirat Ojo, was reportedly beaten to death by her father at their residence at No. 31 Oshinlemo Street, Afromedia, and subsequently buried within the compound.
Upon receiving the report, a team consisting of homicide and crime scene investigators visited the address.
The scene was carefully documented, and the victim’s body was exhumed and transported to a public morgue for an autopsy.
The suspect, Kamoru Ojo, has been taken into custody, and investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
