The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 13 suspected kidnappers after uncovering a criminal hideout disguised as a shrine in the Idimu area of Lagos.
According to the police, the suspects are members of a notorious syndicate involved in “one-chance” robberies and kidnapping operations across the state. The group allegedly used the fake shrine as a cover to plan crimes, hide victims, and store weapons.
The discovery followed intelligence reports and a coordinated police operation, which led officers to the location. During the raid, the suspects were arrested and several incriminating items were recovered.
Police authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing to track down other members of the gang and determine the full extent of their operations. The suspects are expected to be charged to court after the investigation is concluded.
The Lagos State Police Command reassured residents of its commitment to ridding the state of criminal elements and urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
