Fresh details have emerged on the shocking murder of an Ogun State Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer and her young daughter, after police arrested the suspects behind their disappearance.
According to investigators, the prime suspect — the woman’s boyfriend — partnered with two herbalists in Osun State to lure the victims before killing them for alleged ritual purposes.
Police sources said the FRSC officer had been declared missing alongside her daughter after she visited her boyfriend. Further investigation traced her last known movement to Osun, where the boyfriend reportedly handed her over to the herbalists.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to committing the crime. The boyfriend admitted that he conspired with the herbalists, who instructed him to bring a woman and a child for a money ritual. They allegedly carried out the killing in a secluded forested area before disposing of the bodies.
The herbalists also confessed, narrating how the victims were murdered and parts of their bodies removed for ritual practices.
Police authorities confirmed that the remains of the officer and her daughter were later recovered at the scene and have been deposited in the morgue.
Investigations are ongoing as the suspects remain in custody and will soon be charged in court.
