The Delta State Police Command has intensified its offensive against violent crime, killing one suspected kidnapper and arresting several others during coordinated raids across the state.
According to a statement issued by the Command, operatives carried out targeted operations on identified hideouts used by kidnappers and armed robbers. During one of the raids, a suspected kidnapper was fatally shot in an exchange of gunfire, while others fled with injuries.
Multiple suspects were also arrested in separate operations, with security agents recovering weapons, ammunition, and other items linked to criminal activities.
The Command said the renewed onslaught is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle kidnapping and robbery networks and restore safety across communities. It urged residents to remain vigilant and continue providing useful information to security agencies.
