The Federal Government is preparing to disclose the identities of individuals and networks bankrolling t£rrorism in Nigeria, according to the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala.
Speaking during an interview on Television Continental (TVC) on Sunday, Bwala said the Tinubu administration is taking “far-reaching decisions” on national security, with Nigerians set to see concrete outcomes soon.
He noted that t£rrorism has evolved into a global menace that transcends borders, underscoring the importance of international collaboration in confronting extremist threats.
According to him, global powers increasingly recognise the need to support countries like Nigeria, where violent groups continue efforts to expand their operations.
“Since the events of 9/11, t£rrorism has been regarded as a global security challenge. Any country where t£rrorists operate naturally becomes a concern to the rest of the world,” Bwala said.
“This is why international partners must sustain their cooperation with Nigeria as we work to dismantle t£rror networks,” he added.
Bwala explained that extremist activities, once heavily concentrated in parts of the Middle East, have gradually shifted toward the Sahel region, creating new pockets of instability that demand stronger regional and global responses.
He revealed that the Tinubu administration is intensifying domestic security efforts and will soon expose those responsible for funding and supporting t£rror cells across Nigeria.
“At home, the government is taking decisive steps. In the coming days, Nigerians will know who the t£rrorists are and those financing them,” Bwala declared.
