Former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has firmly dismissed allegations linking him to terrorism financing, describing the claims as entirely false and politically motivated.
In a statement issued through his media aide, Malami said the accusations were fabricated by political adversaries seeking to tarnish his reputation and score cheap points ahead of the political season. He maintained that throughout his tenure as AGF, he upheld the law and never engaged in any action that could be associated with terrorism or its sponsors.
Malami stressed that he has never been invited, questioned, or implicated by any security or financial intelligence agency regarding such allegations. He urged the public to disregard what he called โmalicious propaganda aimed at smearing my name.โ

He further warned that those spreading the false allegations would be held accountable, noting that his legal team has been instructed to take appropriate action against individuals or groups behind the claims.
Malami reaffirmed his commitment to public service and said he would not be distracted by politically driven narratives designed to mislead Nigerians.
