Tension in Lagos Community as Street Urchins Stab Air Force Officer

Residents of Oremeji, a neighbourhood in the Shasha area of Alimosho Local Government, Lagos State, were thrown into fear and confusion on Sunday, November 9, after a Nigerian Air Force officer was stabbed by a group of street urchins.

According to eyewitnesses, the officer was passing through the area when he was confronted by the hoodlums, who reportedly attempted to extort him.

The situation quickly escalated into a scuffle, during which the officer was stabbed.

The incident caused panic across the community as residents fled for safety, fearing retaliation or further violence. Security operatives were later deployed to the scene to restore order, while the injured officer was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities are said to be intensifying efforts to track down the suspects, as residents call for increased security presence to curb the growing menace of street gangs in the area.
