U.S. hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred to a federal correctional facility in New Jersey, where he will serve his four-year, two-month prison sentence for prostitution-related offenses.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ inmate register on Friday, the 55-year-old music executive was moved from a detention center in New York earlier this week and is now housed at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Fort Dix, a low-security facility.
Combs, known for his influential role in shaping the hip-hop industry, was sentenced earlier this year after being convicted on multiple charges linked to running an illicit sex enterprise and violating federal laws on human trafficking.
The move to Fort Dix marks the beginning of his custodial sentence, though federal guidelines indicate that he could be eligible for early release based on good behavior.Neither Combs’ legal team nor the Bureau of Prisons has commented publicly on the transfer.
