Fresh developments have revealed that the military has apprehended an additional 15 officers of various ranks in connection with the alleged plot to overthrow the Federal Government.Security sources disclosed that the latest arrests were made following further intelligence linking the suspects to the purported coup network. With the new detentions, the total number of military personnel currently in custody has risen to more than 40.
The arrested officers are reportedly undergoing interrogation at different military facilities as investigators intensify efforts to uncover the full extent of the alleged conspiracy.Although the Defence Headquarters has yet to release an official statement on the new arrests, military authorities have maintained that any act capable of undermining national stability or the constitutional order will be dealt with decisively.
The government has also reiterated its confidence in the loyalty of the Armed Forces, urging citizens to remain calm while investigations continue.
