The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has officially suspended its ongoing two-week warning strike. The decision was reportedly reached after a meeting of the union’s National Executive Council (NEC), where members reviewed progress made in negotiations with the Federal Government.

ASUU had declared the strike to press for the implementation of agreements concerning university funding, staff welfare, and improved working conditions. With the suspension, academic activities across public universities are expected to resume immediately as the union continues discussions with government representatives to resolve pending issues.
