Pressure is mounting on President Bola Tinubu to sack Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).Critics, in a strongly worded statement on Sunday, accused Wike of failing to deliver on his responsibilities and urged the president to “replace him with a competent and accountable leader.

”“Nigerians deserve leaders, not leeches,” the group declared, insisting that the FCT needs focused leadership rather than “self-serving politics.”

They further called on Tinubu to demonstrate his commitment to good governance by removing any official “whose actions undermine public trust.”Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, has faced growing criticism in recent months over his handling of key issues in the capital.
