President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday arrived in Owerri, the Imo State capital, for a one-day official visit to the state.The presidential aircraft touched down at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, where the President was warmly received by Governor Hope Uzodimma, members of the Imo State Executive Council, traditional rulers, political leaders, and other top government functionaries.

Security operatives, party supporters, and residents also trooped out to welcome the nationโ€™s number one citizen.According to the state government, President Tinubuโ€™s visit is part of his ongoing nationwide engagements aimed at strengthening collaboration with state governments and assessing developmental projects across the country.While in Imo, the President is expected to inaugurate some key infrastructural projects recently completed by the Uzodimma-led administration, including major road networks and public facilities. He will also hold closed-door meetings with state officials, stakeholders, and traditional leaders to discuss governance, security, and economic development in the region.

The visit underscores the federal governmentโ€™s commitment to partnering with state governments in driving sustainable growth and delivering dividends of democracy to Nigerians.President Tinubu is scheduled to return to Abuja later in the day after concluding his engagements in the state.
