A senior lecturer at Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Dr Matthew Uwuigbe, has reportedly been found dead in a hotel room after allegedly spending time with a 21-year-old woman.
According to reports, the woman was said to have left the hotel room to buy water, but the lecturer was later discovered lifeless inside the room.
Following the incident, the police reportedly arrested the 21-year-old woman, as well as the hotel owner and manager, for questioning.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Dr Uwuigbe’s death, while further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
The identities of those involved and the exact cause of death have not been independently established, and the arrests do not imply guilt.
