“Must Everything Become Content?” — Mercy Aigbe Criticises Bloggers Over Toluwanising’s Family Dispute

Celebrity Gossip Trending

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has spoken out against the actions of bloggers and content creators covering the family dispute surrounding the late gospel singer Toluwanising.

The actress expressed sadness over the singer’s death, pointing out that he left behind a grieving wife and two young children who are still coping with the painful loss.

Aigbe urged bloggers and members of the public to show compassion and respect the family’s privacy during this difficult period. She questioned the need to turn a family disagreement into public entertainment, particularly when the people involved are still mourning their loved one.

According to the actress, conducting interviews and publicising the dispute could further increase tensions between the bereaved wife and her late husband’s relatives.

“Sometimes, the most humane thing you can do is put the camera down,” she stated, emphasising that not every family disagreement or personal tragedy needs to be shared on social media.

Her comments have drawn attention to the growing debate over the limits of content creation, especially when it involves grieving families and sensitive personal matters.

Aigbe’s message serves as a reminder that while social media can be used to share information, compassion, privacy and respect should remain important considerations when reporting on people experiencing loss.
