Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has announced the Don Jazzy 2027 Tech Scholarship in partnership with TS Academy to help Nigerians develop digital skills and improve their career opportunities.
The scholarship programme covers various technology-related fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, virtual assistance and cybersecurity. According to the announcement, beneficiaries will enjoy tuition discounts of up to ₦447,000, alongside reduced application fees.
As part of the initiative, Don Jazzy disclosed that 50 laptops would be provided to support participants in their learning journey. In addition, approximately 100 selected beneficiaries would receive monthly internet data support after enrolment.
Explaining the importance of the initiative, the music executive emphasised the value of education and skill acquisition. He also humorously questioned why some people approach him for money to cover personal expenses instead of seeking opportunities to improve their knowledge and professional skills.
“Education is key,” Don Jazzy stressed, encouraging Nigerians to focus on learning valuable skills that could open doors to new opportunities in the digital economy.
