Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has criticised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over his position on Nigeria’s fuel subsidy policy.
Wike accused Atiku of inconsistency, questioning what he described as a change in the former vice president’s position on fuel subsidy.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja after inspecting ongoing road projects, Wike described Atiku as a “confused” politician and a “voodoo economist.”
The FCT minister argued that Nigerians deserve clarity and consistency from political leaders, particularly on major economic policies affecting the country.
Wike’s remarks come amid continued debate over the removal of fuel subsidy and its impact on the Nigerian economy, with political leaders expressing differing views on the policy and its implementation.
