At least nine people have reportedly been k#lled and 34 others injured after a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a security convoy in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday.
According to local authorities, the deadly attack happened in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, an area that has witnessed repeated militant violence in recent years.
Security officials said the explosion caused massive destruction, damaging nearby vehicles and buildings while emergency responders rushed victims to nearby hospitals for treatment.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but investigations are ongoing as security agencies intensify efforts to track down those behind the bombing.
The incident has once again raised concerns over the growing security challenges in parts of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan.
