According to Turkey’s Defence Ministry, the missile was detected entering Turkish airspace amid the ongoing Middle East tensions and was immediately shot down to prevent any threat.
Authorities said no casualties or damage were recorded following the interception.
The incident marks the third time a missile from Iran has been intercepted in Turkish airspace since the escalation of the regional conflict. Turkey has since urged Iran to clarify the launches while reaffirming its commitment to protecting its territorial integrity.
