The Ondo State Police Command has opened a full investigation after an unidentified woman was discovered dead inside a hotel room in Ore, located in the Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.
According to reports, the woman had checked into the hotel with a male companion. However, hotel staff became suspicious when the man hurriedly left the premises alone. When attempts to reach the occupant failed, workers entered the room and found the woman lifeless on the bed.
Police spokesperson Funmilayo Odunlami-Omosebi confirmed the incident, noting that detectives have begun tracking down the man who lodged with the victim. She added that the body has been moved to a hospital morgue while investigations continue to determine the cause of death.
The command assured the public that all efforts are being made to identify the woman, locate the fleeing suspect, and uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
