
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has debunked earlier claims that the five police officers killed in Darazo Local Government Area were victims of a bandit attack.
Speaking on the incident, the governor stated that initial reports from the state police command suggesting that the officers were ambushed by bandits were incorrect. He explained that investigations revealed the tragic deaths were not the result of banditry, as widely circulated.

Governor Mohammed assured the public that the state government is committed to uncovering the true circumstances surrounding the incident, adding that security agencies are already working to piece together what really transpired.
He expressed deep condolences to the families of the slain officers and reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to strengthening security across Bauchi State.
