The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed appreciation for the United States government’s willingness to support Nigeria in tackling the growing challenges of killings and insecurity across the country.
CAN described the U.S. decision as a timely and positive development, noting that Nigeria’s security issues require strong international partnerships to achieve lasting solutions.

According to the association, any effort aimed at restoring peace, protecting citizens, and strengthening national stability is welcome, especially at a time when communities continue to suffer from violent attacks, kidnappings, and other threats.
CAN urged the Nigerian government to work closely with the U.S. and other global allies to ensure that the renewed commitment translates into concrete actions that will bring relief to affected regions.
The group also called for transparency, accountability, and a comprehensive strategy to ensure that all forms of insecurity are effectively addressed.
