The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspects allegedly found in possession of human parts.According to the command, the arrest followed a tip-off from concerned residents who reported suspicious movements in the area.
Police operatives swiftly mobilized and apprehended the suspects, who were caught with parts believed to be human.Spokesperson for the command, SP Catherine Anene, who confirmed the incident, said the suspects are currently in custody while investigations are ongoing to determine the source of the body parts and their intended purpose.
She added that the Commissioner of Police has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
The command also urged residents to remain vigilant and continue to provide useful information that could help in curbing criminal activities across the state.
