At least 17 people have been confirmed dead following a series of deadly attacks by gunmen in Plateau and Kaduna States.The assaults, which occurred late Friday and into the early hours of Saturday, targeted several rural communities, leaving residents in panic and forcing many to flee their homes.In Plateau State, the attackers reportedly stormed villages in Bokkos and Mangu local government areas, shooting sporadically and burning houses. Local sources say at least 10 people were killed, while several others sustained gunshot wounds.
Similarly, in Kaduna State, gunmen invaded parts of Birnin Gwari and Kajuru LGAs, killing seven residents and abducting an unspecified number of people.Security agencies have since been deployed to the affected areas, while local vigilantes are assisting in search and rescue operations.
