United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the United Nations and European nations, accusing them of policies that, he said, are leading the West “to hell.”
Speaking during his return to the UN General Assembly in New York, Trump criticized Europe’s handling of migration, arguing that uncontrolled movement of people threatens the stability and identity of Western nations.
He also dismissed global climate change concerns, describing them as a “con job,” and reiterated his opposition to international agreements aimed at curbing emissions.
The remarks underscore Trump’s long-standing skepticism of multilateral institutions and his nationalist approach to foreign policy, which often puts him at odds with traditional allies in Europe.
