Flood Submerges Five Communities in KogiFlooding has wreaked havoc in Kogi State, submerging five communities in Ibaji Local Government Area and displacing several residents.The Executive Secretary of the Kogi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alhaji Mouktar Atima, confirmed the development on Tuesday, saying the flood has completely overrun Ibaji, located in the state’s eastern senatorial district.Atima described the situation as critical, noting that homes, farmlands, and key infrastructure have been submerged.

He advised communities along the river banks to urgently relocate to higher grounds to avoid further casualties.He assured that the state government, in collaboration with relevant agencies, is working to provide relief materials and temporary shelters for the affected victims.
