The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced a significant drug bust, revealing that its determined operatives successfully intercepted a massive consignment of illicit substances ingeniously concealed within unsuspecting containers of chocolate tins.

This substantial seizure includes a staggering three million, five hundred thousand (3,500,000) pills of various opioid medications, alongside one hundred and sixty-three thousand (163,000) bottles of codeine syrup.

The estimated street value of these confiscated narcotics is a jaw-dropping three point four billion Naira (N3.4bn), underscoring the sheer scale of this criminal operation and the significant impact of the NDLEA’s intervention in disrupting the flow of these dangerous drugs.

This discovery highlights the increasingly sophisticated and deceptive methods employed by drug traffickers in their attempts to move illicit substances across the country, further emphasizing the crucial role of vigilant law enforcement agencies like the NDLEA in safeguarding public health and security.
