A final-year student at Kwara State College of Education, Lawal Hafsoh Yetunde, who was reported missing, has been found dismembered in the home of an Islamic cleric.

The cleric, Abdulrahman Mohad Ballo, has been arrested in connection with the alleged ritual killing.Yetunde was last seen on February 10, 2025, after receiving a call at a naming ceremony.

Her family reported her missing the following day. Police traced her last call to the suspect, who initially denied any knowledge of her whereabouts.

However, a search of his home revealed Yetunde’s dismembered body and instruments suggesting ritualistic practices.

Police sources indicate this may not be the suspect’s first offense, given the tools found in his possession.

The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that they are aware of the “gruesome killing” and that an investigation is underway.
