Francis Van-Lare continues to defend his daughter following the suicide of her former partner, Dr. Ikenna Erinne, a Nigerian cardiologist in the US.
Dr. Erinne died by suicide on January 26th, and online reports suggested it was due to losing a custody battle, a $15,000 monthly child support order, and the revocation of his medical license.
Van-Lare disputes these reports. He claims Dr. Erinne’s license was not revoked and that the actual child support amount was $1,900 per month, not $15,000.
He shared bank statements allegedly showing the deceased’s payments, which he claims were sometimes partial, leading him to label Dr. Erinne a “deadbeat dad.”
Van-Lare also shared court documents from the case between Dr. Erinne and his daughter, Suzette Chibuogu Van-Lare.
These documents, he says, show the case was for “domestic violence” and included orders for Dr. Erinne to refrain from contacting or abusing Suzette and to stay away from her children and their school.
Furthermore, Van-Lare refutes claims that Dr. Erinne brought his daughter from Nigeria and sent her to school abroad, stating that she was born and raised in the United States.
This follows Van-Lare’s earlier statement denying his daughter’s culpability in Dr. Erinne’s death.
He alleged that the deceased held his daughter, their children, and their nanny at gunpoint for several hours before taking his own life when police arrived.
