Man Arrested in Nairobi for Murder of Wife, Body Parts Found in Backpack
Nairobi, Kenya – A 29-year-old man, John Kiama Wambua, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his wife, 19-year-old Joy Fridah Munani.The arrest occurred on Tuesday morning when police officers on patrol in the Huruma area intercepted Wambua carrying a suspicious backpack. Upon inspection, the bag was found to contain human body parts.
Wambua confessed to the crime during questioning, leading detectives to his residence where further body parts were discovered hidden under his bed
The crime scene was described as “horrendous” by investigators, with blood splattered across the floor and a bloody knife recovered alongside the victim’s blood-soaked clothing.
Police are now working to recover the remaining body parts and determine the motive behind the gruesome murder.
