A tragic fuel tanker explosion on Zaria Road in Kano has claimed three lives and left one person injured, according to a statement released by the Kano State Fire Service.
The incident occurred when a tanker laden with fuel suddenly went up in flames, sending thick smoke into the sky and causing panic among residents and motorists in the area. Emergency responders from the Fire Service rushed to the scene to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings and vehicles.
Despite their efforts, three victims were confirmed dead, while another individual sustained injuries and was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment. Officials say the fire was eventually brought under control, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the explosion.
The Fire Service urged motorists and tanker operators to adhere strictly to safety regulations to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
