Gbenga Oluwatomisin, a 44-year-old man, has been arraigned before the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly sending his ex-lover’s sexually explicit video to her husband.
Prosecuting counsel, Inspector Sikiru Opaleye, stated that Oluwatomisin conspired with others, currently at large, to commit the act on January 7th.
He is accused of conduct likely to cause a breach of peace by sending the video and recorded voice messages to Kehinde Olayiwola, the husband of his former lover, Toyese Olayiwola.Opaleye explained that Kehinde and Toyese Olayiwola were previously married and separated, during which time Toyese allegedly had a relationship with Oluwatomisin.
After reconciling, Toyese ended the affair with Oluwatomisin, who then allegedly sent the video and voice recordings of their encounters to Kehinde using the phone number 08#29427990.
The prosecutor stated that these actions, which occurred in the Idi-Iroko area of Amuloko, Ibadan, violate Sections 249 (d) and 517 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.Oluwatomisin pleaded not guilty.
Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi granted him bail of N100,000 with one surety, who must be a blood relative, in the same amount. The case was adjourned to March 25 for a hearing.
