
Troops of the 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Lokoja, have rescued two kidnapped victims and recovered โฆ3.8 million ransom in Kogi State.The operation was carried out following credible intelligence on the activities of kidnappers operating around the ObajanaโKabba axis of the state.

Acting on the tip-off, the soldiers launched a swift and coordinated offensive that led to the successful rescue of the victims from their captors.According to military sources, the troops also recovered โฆ3.8 million โ the ransom money that had been collected by the abductors before the intervention. Some of the kidnappers reportedly fled the scene with gunshot wounds as the troops engaged them in a fierce exchange of fire.

The rescued victims were safely handed over to their families after receiving medical attention, while efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects.The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining aggressive patrols and operations across Kogi State to rid the area of criminal elements and ensure the safety of residents.
