Tyson Fury has decided to pursue a third fight against Oleksandr Usyk instead of the highly anticipated all-British clash with Anthony Joshua, according to his promoter.Fury, who lost to Usyk in their May heavyweight unification bout before demanding a rematch, is now focused on completing a trilogy with the Ukrainian champion rather than turning his attention to Joshua.
Promoter Frank Warren confirmed the decision, saying Fury remains determined to reclaim his titles and settle the rivalry with Usyk once and for all.“Tyson’s priority is to avenge the defeat and close the Usyk chapter properly,” Warren said.
“The Joshua fight will always be there, but right now, it’s about redemption.”The rematch between Fury and Usyk is expected to take place early next year, with Saudi Arabia again likely to host the blockbuster event.
