Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, are reportedly preparing to relocate to the United Kingdom with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, for an extended stay.
According to reports by People and The Telegraph published on August 19, the couple is expected to return to Britain this month, with the children reportedly set to begin school in the UK in September.
A source close to Harry and Meghan confirmed the reported plans, while Buckingham Palace has also been informed about the move.
The Palace reportedly said King Charles is aware of the plans and “welcomes the opportunity to see more of the Sussex family in a private and personal capacity.”
However, the move does not signal a return to royal duties. Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 before relocating to California. They are expected to remain non-working members of the Royal Family and will not live in a royal residence.
The couple is also expected to retain their homes in Montecito, California, and Portugal, suggesting that their time in Britain will be an extended stay rather than a permanent relocation.
